This year, 2019, marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Cleveland Way. It was first called a Long-distance Footpath but has subsequently been renamed as a National Trail. A programme of events to mark its 50th anniversary have been organised, details of which can be found here. Skelton History Group will be involved in the walks taking place locally from 16th May to 24th May.
