The article linked to below was entered in the 2017 Packett Prize competition organised by Cleveland & Teesside Local History Society. It came in second, just missing out on the £250 prize. However, the judges were so impressed by it that they made a special award of £50, to its author, Josie Bland. Josie donated this prize money to the History Group.
